Boil times are generally very good and once you get to know it it can be very efficient. Its a shame the filler screw has come loose but I'd still recommend the stove on its other merits.Marcushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01351297406970864492noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6409591195378757931.post-31884515378959194882009-05-31T22:01:40.125+01:002009-05-31T22:01:40.125+01:00Ditch the minibull stove and get a titanium calder...Ditch the minibull stove and get a titanium caldera cone. This time though as I'm on a bit of a tight timescale I thought I'd reduce the fuss.

The weather isn't looking to bad at all so bar the odd shower it should be.....satisfactoryMarcushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01351297406970864492noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6409591195378757931.post-10531882228452830892009-05-21T22:27:27.535+01:002009-05-21T22:27:27.535+01:00I somehow had visions of a whisky -based porridge ...I somehow had visions of a whisky -based porridge - which would definitely warm you up for the day ahead! I've thought about taking the F1 lite and using the pot from the Krazy Kooking Kit ant the ziplock tubs for eating from. It would all work and is easy to clean but I'm not quite sure of the pots suitability with such a hot stove....

John, you know as well as I do, the weather definately can still be bad up there, but its not looking too bad this time.Marcushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01351297406970864492noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6409591195378757931.post-54589025096177250472009-05-21T14:42:55.902+01:002009-05-21T14:42:55.902+01:00Porridge does that. But ...oatmeal bars are a good hassle free approach. But thought about taking a small disposable plastic pot and make-up the porridge in that. Saves soiling the titanium mug, and you get to reuse the pot for mash/pasta etc. Then on the way out you ditch the pot at the 1st rubbish drop.
Best of luck with the trip - it can;tstill be crap weather up there!John Heehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01333628949466601415noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6409591195378757931.post-12432129978667172202009-05-21T14:30:04.648+01:002009-05-21T14:30:04.648+01:00Nice one Marcus!
