The "Dry" option means that the outer fabric is waterproof, which I had a chance to test - it is. I was sleeping in it outside at 0 degrees wearing only in my underwear and a thin fleece and I was sweating when I had my arms inside. When I woke up all the overnight dew has condensed on the bag's surface, but I was all dry inside! The only problem I found is that the zip gets stuck quite often, but there's a way how to close it without a problem. Overall a very good product.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6409591195378757931.post-88581055588785754122013-11-01T22:46:53.386+00:002013-11-01T22:46:53.386+00:00Nice review, im liking this over the Paramo mounta...Nice review, im liking this over the Paramo mountain pull on and as for bobbling? zero thus far :)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6409591195378757931.post-55499841915541099342013-10-02T15:50:21.260+01:002013-10-02T15:50:21.260+01:00Fleece very soft, sleeves nice and long, fits well...Fleece very soft, sleeves nice and long, fits well. Like all fleeces, there's some bobbling but this has been used several times a week when walking the dog and sometimes worn the entire weekend on camping trips and I'd say it was holding up better than anything I've had. The cuffs haven't worn at all on mine and has retained its figure-hugging shape exceptionally well. This might just be my favourite Montane item to be honest. I'll buy another one when this one either doesn't fit or dies somehow.Marcushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01351297406970864492noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6409591195378757931.post-38450849819094528372013-01-22T08:04:42.365+00:002013-01-22T08:04:42.365+00:00I aquired the Pure and Dry -5 from GoOutdoors for ...I aquired the Pure and Dry -5 from GoOutdoors for £150 when they had it in one of their specials.

I've been very happy with it, cozy whenever I've used it. The back panel restricted access down to the bottom and for some reason it would never stand up. When ever you put it down it toppled over spilling out what ever was in it.
I’m not a fan of these external unprotected zips so this one is not for me. You would have to use a waterproof inner bag and then this more or less makes the zip redundant.AlanRhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07180571503542781921noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6409591195378757931.post-62370569955199676912012-10-16T12:49:12.641+01:002012-10-16T12:49:12.641+01:00I read that the "collar was stiff" and t...I read that the "collar was stiff" and that "the cuffs wore out and bobbled quickly". I could not see anything because the seam is dark against the light, the seam moves as you paint it and it was really awkward doing it upside down. I did one seam and gave up.
